   I just got my domain today. Nothing was on it. I first did the host's install of wordpress (host is lunarpages), and couldn't see themes, and then I saw that I needed to upgrade anyway, so I stopped everything and tried to upgrade.

   At this point I have uninstalled and reinstalled so much I have no idea what's going on.

   I wanted to install to the root. The page still shows the lunarpages landing page. (www.arenaissancelife.com)

   The install page shows a 404 error, but the file is there in my directory. Php is enabled. Can anyone help???

   Look for a file like index.htm or index.html in your root folder. This is being displayed instead of index.php
   Remove it and WordPress should work.

   thanks mac. I was afraid to remove those. I have someone to help me now, hopefully this will be resolved soon!
