Assigning Catagory numbers.

    I deleted a couple categories in wordpress as I no longer needed the categories. Then I started using a template and it wants to pull a couple category numbers that are no longer in use. How to I re-assign the numbers?

    Would be easier to change the call to the category numbers to reflect new categories…. there’s no way to change the ID other then via the database i think…
