    Hi everyone,

I have never used wordpress before in my life, and I am considering it for the next project I will be working on. The goal is to have user register on the site to be members of the site, and then if they choose "I would like a blog" option, for example, they will get their own blog with their name as a subdomain or catalogue (username.mydomain.com or mydomain.com/username). What would be the best way to approach this?

Basically I would like to create a modified version of this:
    Weblogs at Harward Law

Thank you for your help in advance!
    Yulia.

  2. Out of the Box, Multisite can do that EXCEPT you don't pick subdomain or subfolder. You only get to use what you, the admin, decided was the way to do things :)

Thanks Ipstenu! So how will the users be able to access their blogs in the browser? Maybe I was not clear, but the blogs will be different for each user, that's what Multisite will take care of, right?

    Yes. :) It's just like wordpress.com.

And the users go to username.mydomain.com or mydomain.com/username and slap /wp-admin on the end to get to the back end of THEIR site.
