   I've transferred a wordpress site to an ubuntu/apache setup. It's just running locally and so far everything's fine but for one thing.
   Whenever I try to install or delete a plugin from wp-admin, it brings me to a connection information page, and asks for hostname and ftp username & password.
   This is confusing me a bit, because this is a site that's never been live. The connection info screen never appeared when the site was on a windows box. Is there something I may have overlooked in it's transfer?

   I should mention also that it has always run locally, I've never used any sort of ftp program to upload any media/plugins
