   When I update a post, wordpress takes ages, then I get the file download dialog for a file called "post.php". This also happens when I try and change the options, but i get "options.php" instead.

   I can add posts to via "Quick post" on the dash board.
   Ive tried the auto upgrade, and ive also tried using the default theme with no plugins. neither work.

   Any help would be greatly appreciated

   This is caused by slow responses from the server.
   1. Try using Google Gears
   2. Get a better web host
