Hi
I tried to install the 'AskApache Password Protect' and could not get to work so tried to to deactivate with no-joy, I could not login to admin through .com/wp-admin/ I then went to host and deleted the "AskApache Password Protect" from the plugins folder but still I can not login as it has a 404 error. So now Im worried any idea or help would be great
thanks
Have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin?
Also check your WordPress .htaccess file.

"resetting the plugins folder by FTP" this does not work as I still cant login with login details, so cant get to htaccess file also
To access your .htaccess file you need to use FTP - not WordPress.

Reset the plugins folder.
Remove anything added by AskApache from your WP root and wp-admin access files.
