Articles loaded in caragories won’t load 404 message

Hello Support

I have wordpress on a number of domains. For some reason
the articles loaded into caragories give me a 404 message when I try to load.
Only the posts allowed to be seen in reading options show. Even previous entries link gives me a 404. I’m using a variety of templates and all same problem. Any sugestions.
