It appears to be a plugin called WP Powerlinks that is inserting links for keywords it finds in your posts to monetize your blog traffic.
Check your active plugins to see if you can find it and disable it. If not, then it may be the theme you are using.
I have checked everything inside out and I don’t see any such plug-in. I’ve also checked the theme settings many time and have not found anything related to that. 🙁
FYi, I’m using TwentyEleven theme version 1.5. Does anyone else have this issue?
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
Good idea. I will try and revert. Also, to answer your questions, I am using the default theme at the moment.
Twenty Twelve is the current WordPress 3.5 default theme.
I tried using Twenty Twelve but still see the links so we can rule that out.
Also, disabled all plugins and that didn’t fix it either.
Hmm… I run another site which is also showing the links. Its a joomla site so maybe its a server issue?
Are you able to see any links here on “League”, “season”?

Yes and it really does look like a plugin. Have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
