Arrow inside the "to top button" doesn't appear in LTE IE8

    Hi folks,

    I am unsure what the reason is, but the white arrow (transparent PNG) does not appear in less than or equal Internet Explorer 8.

    Is it some render problem of older IE Version? Or a markup problem because of putting it in a not closing <span> as background-image?

    Anyone any idea to prevent this / solve this issue?
