Hi
Is there a way to specify that the "featured image" is used ONLY on the homepage?
My problem is that I have a related thumbnails plugin which is pulling the massive "featured image" picture and not the 1st picture from the post (which is a lot smaller and also a square shape as opposed to a rectangle - optimised for the "related posts" thumbnails)
I am aware I will need 2 images for this but that is fine, I want to have a "featured image" that is ONLY on the homepage, and then use the FIRST image from my article for everything else
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Two ways to deal with this: deselect the "show excerpt" in the Arras layout options. Also, instead of uploading two images, which not change the shape of the node to a square? Go into thumbnail options to do this.
I'm still playing with the layout of mine site... diypics.com

1. Under "thumbnails" in the options - tick the first one to allow theme to use the first image
Check this to allow the theme to automatically retrieve the first attached image from the post as featured image when no image is specified.
Under the "layout" option of the theme untick
2. Post Thumbnail - that will stop the featured image from being displayed in the slideshow and at the top of single page posts.
Unfortunately if you have a featured image it looks like that one still takes precedence but worth a try
