ftp to site or use host’s file manager to rename plugins folder, thus deactivating all plugins
if a plugin is borked this will let you log in
if this doesn’t help, rename your theme folder, thus activating default theme
if a theme error this will let you log in

Actually, it looks like you have unexpected white space (either a single space or an entire line) on line 2 of the admin-functions.php
file. See this for more info:

that would normally be true, except it is calling pluggable.php
also, it is unlikely a space could be introduced to that file
thanks guys i was able to log into the wp-admin but all the posts do not show up except the home page. i had uninstalled and then reinstalled wordpress due to malware problems at godaddy. i backedup old Db and then restored it in new DB per godaddy advise. pls advise…
did you then re-save permalinks?
dashboard – settings – permalinks
permalinks format did not change when i restored old DB in new DB but i did go to settings and re-saved it .. still no change.. old links wont call old posts…
it is working in firefox now (after 10 mnts).. but not still working in IE. will wait… may be it has to do with cache.. tx Samboll. u r cool!
