• I am attempting to add a new Contact Form 7 template, Contact Form 7 version 3.1.2. It seems to be working normally, but when I attempt to save the new template, I get a screen which is blank other than “Are you sure you want to do this?” There is no option to select “Yes” (or anything else).

I have researched for a solution, but the other references to this problem either didn’t apply or the suggested solutions didn’t apply or didn’t work. However, I have not deactivated and reactivated every other plug-in; I have over 20, and I’m concerned that doing so will really mess my site up.

Any help would be much appreciated!

What other plugins do you use? Might be possible to specify which is causing the problem.

Too many! No wonder some of them cause problems. I suppose that plugins those tamper with user roles and capabilities of WordPress are relating to the problem. Of course I have no idea which ones do, though. How about starting by deactivating which you think less important?

I experienced the same issue, and by inspecting the code of the error I noticed that it was styled by some CSS hidden in /wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/contact-form/css/grunion.css

So obviously the issue comes from Jetpack: this plugin is adding silently new features, and it recently added a contact form – which has enabled itself by default. So the simple solution is to go into the Jetpack settings, and disable the “Contact Form”.

Time to get rid of Jetpack, I suppose…

Thanks @manuel – Good catch. I just got a call from a client asking me if I received the info he’s been sending me – that’s when I realized my contact form wasn’t working. I disabled Jetpack contact form and that fixed it. I don’t know why would Jetpack enable this automatically

@ken – well, Jetpack is made by Automattic … so it’s no surprise that things happen automattically 😉
