• I’m new to smartphones and tablets, and only made my site mobile two days ago using WPTouch.

The hits to my site have dropped by 40% since its install. Would anyone say it’s because stats aren’t collected from mobile devices, or that the site isn’t visible on certain mobile devices, or that people just don’t like the mobile version and leave the site?

    Thank you for your time.

It’s usually stats not being recorded. Most of the time you’ll see mobile traffic increase when you use WPtouch. Did you put your stats code into the Stats text area block in the admin settings? You can cut/paste stats tracking code in there to capture mobile visitors.

    Thank you for your response.

When you say Stats Code, I assume you mean Google Analytics? I got confused by GA a while ago and never used it. I just looked at it again and inserted the code into my website in both my theme’s Google Analytics field and in the WPTouch field. I verified the code, and I guess now I just wait to see if it’s working correctly?

    Thanks for your time.

Correct, give it some time depending on your website’s overall traffic and you should start seeing mobile traffic in your GA reports.

    You’re welcome.
