Custom Content Type Manager
[resolved] Are relations bidirectional or can they be made to function that way (3 posts)

We use this function quite regularly and were wondering whether we could use it in bi-directional way. So if a user connects one post to another, and we choose to display the other post, we would be able to view this connection. Otherwise, we would need to create two single-direction connections. Thanks in advance,

No, relations are not defined bi-directionally -- that's pretty rare. I only know of one framework that supports bi-directional relation definitions.

There are, however, ways to lookup relations from the "other side". E.g. https://code.google.com/p/wordpress-custom-content-type-manager/wiki/get_incoming_links

Thanks Everett, looks useful. We'll just recommend a post type that's 'in the lead' to the client, and work from there.
