   Hi,

   I know that the slugs that show up in the URL are important to the search engines, but what about the normal name of a category or post ? Is that also read by the engines ?

   if you can read it, a search engine can read it.

   I think they are pretty important - and can be used to give nice organised URLS like http://www.mysite.com/downloads/latest-whizz-bang/ rather than just http://www.mysite.com/latest-whizz-bang - good for humans and search engines a-like! Used well I personally think that search engines like this and keywords in the URL have got to help if used for good not evil!
