Archiving pages

I’ve got several hundred articles, all in html format created in Dreamweaver and I want to move them over to my wordpress site. I’m trying to figure out the best way of doing it.

Creating a page for each article is no good and neither is putting them up as posts (unless I pre-date them in the wp editor, tedious).

Is there another way I could present them?
