Archiving older posts to Archives Widget

I’m new here and to blogging so do not know if I’m doing any of this correct. Apologises in advance if I’m not.

I’m using the RESPONSIVE theme, which I like very much. I have A.D.D. and I find it very clear, clean, crisp and easy on my eye. Thank you to the designer of this theme. One negative on this theme from my point of view: I personally would prefer two additional menus instead of a header and footer as I don’t know (a) how to use them and (b) what to use them for.

I am trying to add previous posts to the Archive widget (retitled PREVIOUS POSTS) but I don’t know how to do this. I’ve Googled for help but no luck. My BLOGGING page is a static page as I could not work out how to use the original page which states site &c cannot be found.

Also – different topic and apologies again, but I can’t seem to make the tags appear on my page even though I’ve added them behind the scenes, as it were. Sorry for this inclusion on a different topic.
