Hi there, Writr does come with an archives template page, called archive.php. If you don’t see it in your theme you may want to try re-downloading a fresh copy.
Let me know if that does the trick.
Hello
I have re-download the copy and it is still not working.
Only “default template” can be found in the dropdown list.

Across WordPress, the archive.php template is automatically applied to monthly archive pages, which are the pages that display posts that were published in a particular month. It isn’t a template that can be selected on a per-page basis.
If you let me know what your end goal is, I might be able to suggest something. Thanks!
Thanks for those examples, that’s helpful.
In the source code of this site – http://www.idunzo.com/blog-archives/?showall=1 – I can see that they are using a plugin called SRG Clean Archives to generate their archives page: http://www.idunzo.com/projects/clean-archives/
It appears quite old, and it may not work with the latest version of WordPress.
I can’t tell what the other two sites are using.
I did a quick search in the plugin directory and it looks like there are quite a number of plugins that will display archives in similar ways.
For example:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/clean-my-archives/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/aw-yearly-category-archives/
I can’t recommend anything specific because I haven’t used any myself, but you might want to try out a few and see what you like best.
Good luck!
