archives issues

I do not know, so if this is a theme issue I will go elsewhere, I apologize in advance if it is. My archives are not working at all. I’m using the archives widget and when I click say on the month for January, all of my posts appear regardless of when they were posted. Same thing with any month I click on, all the posts show up.
