   I am looking for a plug-in or a quick fix to make my archives and category's posts just show the title instead of the whole post.

   in your archive.php and category.php look for <?php the_content(); ?> and edit it out, making sure you have <?php the_title(); ?> still

   I just looked and I couldn't find category.php but I found archive.php and it didn't have <?php the_content(); ?> or <?php the_title(); ?>

   Look harder. If the catgeory and monthly archives show the whole content - it should be there.
   And next time give a link or at least post which theme are you using. They are all different!
