Archive widget blank when pages are published but no posts are published (1 post)

    How come the Archives widget only shows anything ONLY when there are posts+pages published but NOT when there are ONLY pages published? When I only have pages published and my 3 test posts saved as drafts (to hide them), then the archives widget does not show anything at all.

    If I go back to one of the draft posts and publish it, I get the current month listed. I click on it, and the archive includes the post as well as the pages. How weird is that?

    How can I make a tweak that shows content in the archive widget when I only have pages published?
