   Hi Guys, my archive permalink used to be

   /2006/12/01/my-first-post/

   after upgrading to 2.1 it becomes

   /date/2006/12/01/my-first-post/

   there is an extra word /date/ and it makes all my link broke

   anyway to fix this?

   I have noticed the same thing, i.e. with WP 2.1.2, the archive links have "date" inserted as part of the permalink and this does "break" older search engine hits.

   Any suggestions for fixing it would be appreciated.

   Have you look at Dashboard -> Options -> Permalink to see if it;'s something that can be removed?
