    How do I fix that?

    I'm using a Danish translation, it's pretty crappy BTW, had to translate lots of it my self (and edit).

    I'm using j. F Y as format, but the months are displayed in lowercase, like

    march 2006
    april 2006

    how to fix this?

    A lot of times, it is the theme's style sheet where you'd want to start. Does your sheet have anything like

    text-transform: lowercase;

    anywhere in it?

    Nope, nothing about text-transform: lowercase; is mentioned

    Are you sure your .po language file doesn't have the msgstr months attributes in lowercase? I assume you have done the editing and converting to .mo yourself?

    I haven't converted it myself

    I think your first step should be to look at the .po language file and make a fresh .mo file out of that. See this for more:

    How do I open/edit the .mo file?

    You don't. You edit the .po file and create the .mo file from that. Read the info at the URL link I posted above.
