Archive and Capabilities

Hi I have spent hours on this problem. There arent any resources out there to disable users( apart from admin) from editing their own posts that are now archived? I have looked for possible plugins that do this but none are out there.

This is only for archived posts I dont want the roles/caps to be affected. Does anyone have any ideas?
