I have a blog on vondewall.com that mainly is a family blog. I have now become increasingly worried that my children will become the target of bullies in school etc because of the blog. So far this has not happend (and it might never happen) since what I write about is harmless stuff... but one can never know what starts such a process).

At the same time I would like for their grandparents (who live far away) and other friends of the family to be able to read about them on the blog.

I have now found a plugin that allows me to set that only members above a certain level can read certain posts. I would like to combine this with the ability to approve memberships. ie. the registration as a member will not become active until I have approved the registration. Does anyone know of such a plugin?

I know I have the option to uncheck Anyone can register but I would like to change the behaviour of the registration process instead.

Set the necessary level to see things as Contributor, and default new members as Subscriber? You then need to promote them up - effectively a barrier?

:-) Maybe I should think before I post.
    Thanks Podz

Oh no ... as I was typing I was thinking that there would be another way of doing this but as I've not yet had a coffee I can't think of another way yet :) There are usually more than one way to do things.
