    Hello,

I have been having problems with the plugin recently where my users aren’t getting the approval message.

The following is what is occuring on my penntertainment.com site:

    1) User signed up for registration

    2) User receives and email “To complete the activation of your account please click the following link:http://www.sitename.com/activate/?key=bc3c1f2724dfa42a694e8ea5c1ca8ca3

    3) User is then told that account now has to be verified by administrator.

    4) Admin receives notice and then goes to page in admin section http://www.sitename.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=new-user-approve-admin and clicks approve

    5) At this point, the user is supposed to get an email indicating that they got approved, however no email is getting triggered.

    6) Because the admin clicked approve, the user can technically log in at this point, but the user doesn’t know to do this because an email isn’t getting triggered after the admin approves.

Any suggestions as to why it’s not working? I believe it has something to do with the plugin getting updated in the past month.

    thank you,
    Matt

Are you running this on a multisite install? Multisite is not yet supported. I am currently working on a solution.

That being said, the user still should be getting the email indicating they have been approved.

I would recommend you go through the process yourself to make sure you are getting the emails. If the admin is getting the email, there is no reason why the approved shouldn’t get an email as well.

Hi Josh, I am not running this on a multisite install. I did go through the process of signing up and for whatever reason, after I approved myself, I (the subscriber) never got an email from the system indicating that I’ve been approved. Not sure what the issue may be.

Thats frustrating. If it’s sending one email, it should send the other. Is this consistently happening?

If it is, you’ll need to verify that another plugin is not conflicting with the NUA plugin.

    Hi Josh,

I see your “new user approve” plugin has an update. I see one of the updates is “fix bug preventing approvals/denials when using filter“. Not sure what “using filter” means…

I have not yet installed it, but do you think your plugin’s current update addresses the problem I listed above in my thread regarding the user not getting an approval message?

    thank you,
    Matt

In the user list in the admin, there is a filter provided by the plugin. You can filter by the status of the user (pending, approved, or denied). When that filter was applied, you could not approve or deny a user.

In some cases, the user is not getting the message indicating they have been approved or denied. This is a big issue that I am trying to resolve. The latest update does not address this issue. I’m still working on trying to figure out why this is happening.
