Applying table rates to a product and all of its variants.

Hi,

I’ve set a table rate for a product to give a discount if 5+ of the product have been added to the cart. I have about 30 variants under one variant group, which happens to be “Flavor”. All flavor variants for this single product are the same price.

Here is my problem: When I add 5+ of this product to my shopping cart, but all different Flavor variants, it doesn’t apply the table rate discount. It only seems to work only when the 5+ items are of the same Flavor variant.

Is there a way to discount a product using Table Rate if multiple variants of that product are added to the cart? Any help is appreciated!
