Appending images to recently updated links (7 posts)

    This is not a request for any 'must-have' feature.
    Is it possible to have images prepended/appended to the links when they've been recently updated?
    Currently, only text is allowed to be configured for that purpose in Options >> Link Manager. So a cute little image that says 'new' continues to languish in my images directory! ;-)

    You make that text a link to the image:
    <img src="your/image.png" alt="new"/>
    Give it a shot :)

    Thanks Carthik. Somehow I thought that this was going to be the solution! :-)
    I will give it a try.

    Unfortunately, adding <img src="your/image.png" alt="new"/> does not seem to work. :-(

    Works here, I just tried it.....
    In the append box, I have this:
    <img src="ak-img/new_7.gif" alt="" />
    I'll leave it on my page so you can see ?
    (It does look broken in the append box once I update the options, but it works)

    thanks podz.
    it does appear broken in the append box and thats what led me to believe that it would not work so I had removed it.

    It doesn't work.
    If you don't update that page (Link Manager) again, all is fine.
    But if you do, the 'broken' thing appears to overwrite the working image link.
    I've stuck it into Mosquito.
