• I’m working on a site where the nav bar and the bottom border need to line up with the background. The problem is that the page area (nav and bottom border (really footer) are off between browsers (firefox and safari) for example. But they are also off based on OS according to the BrowserLab and BrowserStack testing I have done. Chrome shows the site about 5-10 pixels lower on a PC than it does on Chrome on a Mac.

Can anyone help me with this, please? The site is http://concursolectoresinfantiles.cl/

My CSS is valid. I have a reset. I was just working on TwentyEleven with a child them, really only making changes to the CSS.

I tried using CSS Browser Selecter but I can’t get that to work either. http://rafael.adm.br/css_browser_selector/

    Thanks,
    Eileen

  • What version is your browser? You do understand that different browsers will have some slight differences though.

My Chrome browser on my mac is 19. On browser stack I’ve checked 15-19 Chrome on Windows on browserstack. In Adobe Browserlab, I checked Chrome 19 on PC. The thing that I find curious is that on IE, Chrome & Firefox on PC, it is all pushed down – particularly the nav. I do understand that different browsers will have slight differences, but it’s the cross platform part that is throwing me.

Honestly, if I could get the CSS Browser Selector to work, I would be fine, but I can’t.

    I’d like help with either.

    Thanks,
    Eileen

I don’t know why I couldn’t get the javascript to work, but I used this plugin based on the same javascript and it works.

If anyone has any better ideas or suggestions, let me know, please. I try to avoid plugins, but sometimes they just work.
