So I've set up a WordPress site and it's been going great for a few months now. But today I logged in and went to Appearance > Menus to change the nav menu, and I got a blank page. I tried refreshing and using a different browser to no avail. All the other Admin links work as expected.

I checked the page source and all of the header information is intact, the CSS links, meta information, javascripts, etc., but it stop before the closing head tag and there's nothing else after that.

I was thinking that it might help if I replaced the nav-menu.php file, but I don't want to have to reconstruct the menu from scratch again. Any ideas what could be going on?

    Thanks!

Update: I tried replacing nav-menu.php with a fresh copy but it had no effect.

In trying to track down what's going on I decided to install WP locally and try accessing Appearance > Menus between each step (read: adding my theme, installing plugins, etc.).

On a fresh local install, the Appearance > Menu page works fine. Before adding any new themes or plugins, I imported content from my live WP site (pages, posts, etc.) and immediately started having problems with the Menu page not showing up. So it's not a plugin or theme issue.

I read a post here that warns against having items in the menu which you have recently deleted. It's weird that on my local install I would be having problems seeing as how I haven't even added a menu yet.

I remembered that a week ago I removed two pages from the live site without deleting them from the menu, so I went to the trash and restored those two pages, but STILL no dice.

    What gives I wonder?
