   can i hide certain menu pages from the menu header? i want to start sharing the site but the store pages aren't ready to go live and would like to hide them is this possible? if so, how? they are in draft mode but still show up on the site

   Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

   i only want the home, about and contact pages to show right now.
   the other pages ... collection, shop, blog and basket are not ready to go live

   Why don't you just switch those Pages back to Draft status?
