Apostrophes doubled in comments on SQL Azure

    I’ve created a WordPress site on Azure, using this plugin to connect it to SQL Azure. All apostrophes in comments are getting doubled (it”s) instead of (it’s). Since I can’t change any php.ini settings on azure websites, is there any way to fix this? It must be the abstraction layer as I’ve created another site using mysql and it doesn’t double them up in that instance.
