Quotes and Apostrophes

    I am having a problem with quotes and apostrophes in admin notification emails (issue resolved in standard group notifications) – and also with those same things with regards to the site title in all of my emails. My site has an apostrophe in the title, so that is not getting escaped along with the message content, so appears like \’ in the emails. Can these 2 things get looked at?

    same here (italian):
    this sentence:

    “Visto che siamo sempre di piu’ sara’ impossibile”

    is shown as

    “Visto che siamo sempre di piu\’ sara\’ impossibile”

    in the email.

    You have to do a bit of hacking to fix this.

    For the title, there is a filter ‘ass_admin_notice_subject’ that can be used to add your filter to process the the subject and remove the \ character.

    However, there is no filter for the body, so you have to hack the code bp-activity-subscription-functions.php line 1657 onwards.
