    Hello,

first to let you know I am using this in conjunction with WP Supersized plugin. Whenever we have an apostrophe in the Alt & Title Text / Description fields, the gallery breaks ont he front end – it loses the style of the gallery and just constant spinning loading wheel with no images ever loading.

    Has anyone encountered this?

    Thanks

@igloobob – A link to your site showing this would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi sorry about that,

I’ve just removed the apostrophe for the time being as couldn’t leave the slideshow broken. So the page links is not much use as the issue is not seen there now. I’m just leaving for the day now but I could perhaps set up a test page with a ‘broken’ gallery in place if I can send you a secure private message to look at this with log in details?

@igloobob – It would probably be best to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) on this issue … you can include an appropriate link in the Bug Report as well as any other pertinent information.

    Thanks!

Apostrophe’s are special characters in many programming languages and are best avoided unless you’ve tested that they are acceptable.

I’m not up-to-date with NextGEN but at my older version the Alt & Title Text field does not like html while the Description field does. Putting html in the Alt & Title Text can cause me a problem so plain text – no punctuation or special characters – is safer.
