   Hi. I'm a new member, and have seen reference in the Word Press documentation to API keys to install Spam Protection. Apparently, all I need to do is "Sign Up" with Word Press, and then look in my Profile section, and the API kep should be there.

   I signed up, looked in my profile - didn't find it.

   Anyone knows more specifically where I need to look?

   If you want to use the Akismet plugin, you have to create a blog at wordpress.com (even if you don't want to use it). This is where you'll get the key that you can use for your own WordPress site.

   Ooooooooohhh! Thank you! I guess I missed that, somehow.

   By the way... I'm new, but have heard that spam is becoming a big issue. Has it been a problem for you? If so, have you found a solution? and do you think installing Akismet is something that most people are satisfied with, or have you found something you thinks works better?
