   Hello there,

   I am trying to locate my API Key. I am the only admin of my blog, but someone else initially set it up. I followed the instructions and went to "dashboard" and then "profile" However, nowhere do I see an API key, or an option to modify it. Whats going on? Do I even have an API key? Thanks in advance.

   Ok...I registered with WordPress.com and got my API key. Do I need to enter it anywhere in my blog now?

   API key is from WordPress.com.

   You need to go to http://www.wordpress.com and set up a user. Then, log in to your profile and you will find it.

   It is used with some plugins created by Automattic. Akismet and WP.com Stats require API key.

   I cannot find an api key anywhere through my profiles, what am I doing wrong??

   Hi, it can only be found in your wordpress.com profile.
