   I cannot find it anywhere :( I know it used to show up, but since updating to the newest version of wordpress, I can't find it anywhere. Am I looking in the wrong place (under profile?) or what? I am trying to activate a plugin, never done it before...

   Oh, to clarify (because I've grown confused by other posts I've searched) I have wordpress installed on my own personal site. I have an account here obviously, and I have more than one account on WordPress.org for other blogs...

   But I need an API key for my personal website. I've seen it before...just...can't find it now :/

   Have you created an account at wordpress.com?
   When I installed the stats plugin, it required the API key and the one I had used for the Akismet plugin did not work so I created one at the aforementioned site.

   FYI, I created an account but not another blog given that I only needed the API key.

   I have my account hosted on my own website...so I can just create a random act to get an API key for my personal blog that isn't hosted on wordpress.com?

   Yes.
   My blog is hosted using my own domain name yet I had to create an account at http://www.wordpress.com to get the API key.
