I have a fairly specific site I'm looking to build but not a huge amount of funds.

Appears to be a rather unseemly method of having a site constructed, if you ask me - which you didn't, but I offer that opinion anyway.

It doesn't cost a lot to create a website or blog - unless you want your students to pay for your hosting package as well.

you could try locking them in the closet and only feeding them every few days. Then reward them with IPod access whenever they complete a section of the site.

Sure but most commercial people charge thousands... an "unseemly" way... I thought it could be a project for a computer science student...

for best results, look into a design school that has an " interactive" core curriculum. you can get students for " free " if you hire them as an intern and they get course credits for developing your site.

otherwise interns usually cost $10 - $20 per hour if they don't get the credits
