Anyone need hosting? (Not spam!) :)

    I’ve recently moved to a new host and have some spare space which I’d like to offer to anyone for a blog or forum. For more details check here.

    This is completely free and not spam. I’ve been using WordPress for one of my personal sites for about a year now and feel like giving something back to the community.

    All accounts come with FTP, and MySQL access. You may host as many domains you can bring with you, and setup as many email addresses as you like. Hosting has been tested with Textpattern, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and phpBB.

    Lmao! I think everyone will jump for this offer, especially when having the word “Lucifer” in their forum username.. haha. =P Not being ignorant of course, it’s kind of funny hahaha. Nah, Good luck with it though.. ;):)

    I’m assuming you find it funny because it sounds like they have to sell their soul for hosting. Yes, it is amusing if you look at it that way.

    For what it’s worth, my original intention was the ‘Lucifer’ from Greek Mythology.

    Oh, and the reason I’m doing this is twofold. I have the space to spare and I got my own start on webspace donated to me by someone else, so I suppose this is my way of paying it forward.

    And I pay for the hosting all by myself (apart from any donations I receive in the future, though I’m not counting on them). There are a couple of minor strings attached which I’ll summarize below:

    1. Use of hosting for a blog or forum only. Any other use must get explicit permission
    2. Must not breach TOS (either mine or Dreamhost’s)
    3. Must carry a link back to me
    4. Must carry a donation link

    All donations are handled by Dreamhost via Paypal and go directly towards my, and therefore any hostees, hosting bill. No donations made using this link will end up paying for my next chocolate fix.

    In return you get free hosting, pretty much indefinitely as I plan on staying with my current host for a very long time. 500MB to start with, with more on request.
