• I’m asking because I haven’t been able to find it using the google keywords that I would think would pull it up… then again, I’m an IT professional and a moonlight coder, not a graphic designer.

We went to a newly built McDonald’s recently. On the menu they had these images that would ever so slowly go from the original size to slightly zoomed in, or the opposite where the image would go from zoomed in to slowly zoom out until you saw the original size of the image, and then it would change.

The effect was somewhat captivating because you could tell the image was moving in or out, it wasn’t just static and “plopped” there. Sometimes it was also panning to the left or right as it zoomed out. This got me thinking: surely there’s a way (jQuery? HTML5? Fla… NO NOT THAT nevermind!) to take a banner-style plugin that you see on the front pages of WordPress websites everywhere (you know… here’s an image… (5 seconds) now here’s an image… (5 seconds) now here’s another image…, usually with some snazzy transition effect) and make it do this with the images, so the end user doesn’t feel like the page is flat.

So, I’m looking for a plugin with this specific effect… or perhaps a banner-style plugin with this effect as an additional feature… But when I google keywords like “wordprss zoom pan jquery” I get a ton of plugins that give you a magnifying glass for an existing flat image.

Anyone seen something like this that they can point me in the direction of?

    Thanks!
