Some of our blogs have a little bit more traffic than expected, and we are having troubles with afforting it, we now moved to a bigger dedicated server, dual Xeon Quad core, 4gb ram, and a MySQL dedicated mini server (I think its a P4 2gb RAM)

We are wishing to move all images to another server, a cheaper VPS in USA wich will be hosting only images and themes of these blogs.

    Anyone has done it? how?

Our blogs are blog1.ourdomain.com blog2.ourdomain.com etc... the idea is something like media.ourdomain.com

We are thinking on a linux virtual link to the remote server, or something like this, to be transparent to wordpress and do not hard-code / modify it.

that depends on what you think cheap is.

and all you need is to set up the subdomain with them, nothing else.

I mean cheap in bandwith terms, we waste lots of bandwith, I've found some, if anyone tried tell me how they are:

    Provider: Site5
    Bandwith: 7.500 Gb
    Price: $5/Mo.
    Url: http://www.site5.com/hosting/

    Provider: Lunarpages
    Bandwith: 15.000 Gb
    Price: $6.95/Mo.
    Url: http://www.lunarpages.com/index.php

    Provider: StartLogic
    Bandwith: 15.000 Gb
    Price: $5.95/Mo.
    Url: http://www.startlogic.com/startlogic/index.bml

    Also http://www.hostmonster.com/ and http://www.bluehost.com/

But this is going off-topic, anyone technically has done this or has any ideas on doing it?
