   Hi There, I am trying to verify my site with Goggle but can not find where to place the tracking code, please can someone help me?

   Easiest solution is to use a plugin such as Header and Footer and copy the verification code into the head section (using that plugin).

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/header-footer/

   Once you're verified, you can deactivate that plugin.

   Thanks Jan, I have installed the plug in but still don't understand where to put the code as I am not too literate in code speak! Any further help please?

   On the plugin page via your dashboard visit the plugin option page.

   http://your-wordpress-url-here/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=header-footer/options.php

   In the Code to be added on HEAD section of the home box, paste in your Google verification code. It should be one line I think.

   Once that's there, scroll down and click the save button.

   That should embed the HTML code in your blogs home page. Now Google can verify you at your WordPress blog URL.
