• Hi guys

I was wondering if there are any tables that do not change in the WordPress database. I mean some tables that remain the same after installation of a website and do not change its contents. Like a standard table of WordPress let’s say. So, for instance, in case of a backup, you can exclude some WordPress tables that are “standard”.

    Thank you in advance

Another question. I was wondering if the WordPress database stores any logs and cache information which I can exclude from a backup.

    Thank you

There are some transient values stored in the wp_options table but, to be honest, I think they’re not worth the effort of exclusion from a backup. on some sites, you to tend to find that the database becomes bloated with a myriad post revisions – mainly in the wp_posts table. Most (if not all) of these could be excluded from a backup. If you google around, there are a couple of published sql queries that could help if you ran them prior to a backup.
