   I've been working on my site and am looking for new ways to enhance it? I'm not a Web designer so I may be breaking some design rules and am completely unaware...

   You should visit web design blogs like Smashing Magazine, Web Designer Depot, or Design Informer. All of them are great sources to improve your web design knowledge.

   You can check if your coding is valid with the W3C CSS validation service.

   Hey!
   You have some nice ideas.

   One thing i would suggest u change firstly, is your Images.

   The "Hire Cara-Free quote" icon. It is a eye-sore. A 2880px×600px, 700kB image, compressed to the small onscreen size just ruins it. Same with your Bio pic, its just way to big for web-sites.
   You can save bandwidth and load up time.

   I sugest using something like Photoshop. If you dont have it try Gimp, just as good. Or a online sevice like Pixlr
