Any plugins that will make emails editable? Advice on making one.. (1 post)

    Hi
I'm relatively new to WordPress but have been up to my eyes in it for about a week now and I'm finding my way around fine.

There are several 'emails' that are sent to my visitors such as the New Registration email etc that I'd like to have editable and accessible from one place (i.e. the admin section).

Does anyone know if there's a plugin available to do this (if I do have a complaint with the excellent WordPress.org site its that the Plugins search is crap and really needs the ability to filter and refine searches)?

Also, assuming that this hasn't been done before, does anyone have any advice for doing this?

I was thinking of approaching it by making a wp_email table and then keeping email text in there. Then calling the global wpdb function and grabbing the info out of the database to send wherever the emails are being sent in the scripts?

    Does this sound feasible.?

Are there any other (better) ways of achieving the same thing?

Is there any major reason why I shouldn't do this?

Many thanks if you can answer any or all of these questions as best you can.

    Cheers

    John
