Hi, take a look at http://adclik.com/clockwork/about/ - I have created a page "Artists" - however, when clicked, it doesn't show, instead I get an error that I am missing an index page.

This must have to do with the setup in some way, any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Did you remember to apply the "default" page template to the new page when you created it? If not, go back and edit the page, apply the "default" template and save. Maybe that will make a difference.

Hi Clayton, I tried that, and still no luck.
    I'm stumped.

Does anyone else understand how to get pages to work? The page has been created, yet it doesn't show, and the 404 isn't wordpress related.... someone must have an idea?

The problem is most likely because in your actual Web directory you have a subdirectory called "artists" so the Web server tries to load an index file from there before WP ever gets a chance to do its work. Since there's no index file in the subdirectory you see that error message.

Rename the "artists" subdirectory or delete it if you don't need it. That'll fix your problem.

Ok. I have the same problem as doubledown11 did, and the advice from wspec seemed to work.

Now my only question is probably wp .101
Where the hell is my web directory located so that I can rename my subdirectory, or delete it as suggested?

Any help is much appreciated. New to the whole WP thing.

hey Zac! I checked your directory and for some reason you had a second WordPress folder above the wp admin folder. I simply deleted it and your pages are loading perfectly! Happy blogging

I am new to WP, and I'm having the same problem. I get a 404 error when I attempt to display a page or category. None of the previous suggestions works for me.

Here's the link to my site: http://localgoodvt.com/

    Please help! Thanks.
