   I am planning to upgrade to WP 2.7.

   My hosting package (1&1) uses PHP Version 4.4.9.

   Any known problems with WP 2.7 and PHP v.4.4.9, that might affect upgrading?

   This post deals with the Core Upgrade Host Compatibility issues.
   1 & 1 is mentioned near the bottom of the page in the Works with caveats section.
   Their version of PHP (4.4.9) is causing problems for me, with WordPress database errors [MySQL server has gone away]

   Can someone confirm if the compatibility issues with 1&1 is with 1and1.co.uk (UK based) or 1and1.com (US based) or both?

   The page referred to above does not state which it is.
