jameslawrenceHi Guys! So Firstly I must admit I am a wordpress fan, but i'm new to this forum. I need some info or direction on creating a subscribed membership website, specifically dealing with a large database of antiques. Any help would be highly appreciated =)
I am trying to find the best plugins/modules to create a searchable database where people can find antiques and their values.
- A user would be able to type in a phrase such as "vase" and the page would then return all the images in the database related to that word, along with some information about their prices and where they sold at.
- The user will also be able to search categories, phrases (related to the information about each antique) and they could narrow their search down by values like highest/lowest etc..
Additionally, it needs to be flexible so lots of content can be added much like a huge catalogue, except I am not selling the antiques, they are simply for reference.
I am quite lost as to whether wordpress can do what i need it to do and function properly.
(just to also be a pain) ...If there is a large amount of data in a database, would it all be stored on the hosts server etc?
