I changed the memory limit to 128M (tried .htaccess, php.ini and wp-config changes) but it did not change the problem when uploading an image.
Chrome hangs after uploading telling me “please wait a moment”,
IE 9 will tell me IO-fout (Dutch version of WP)
Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your host should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.
Its getting annoying.
I have tried:
– deactivate all plugins
– choose another template
– restore a backupversion that worked
– install plugins that can upload mediafiles
– errorlogs does not show any error
– I have tried wp debugging, no information
– I have tried more memory in server
I have multiple websites, all running the same version of WordPress, same hostingcompany, other domainnames but only the website of http://www.healingyou.nl has this problem:
– choose upload media
– in IE i will get an IO error
– in Chrome a standstill, image is present but without size
Somewhere in resizing it goes wrong. The upload is done, I can see the image, but it will not resize. Is there any view / description of what happens in new-media.php?
As all my effort did not lead to any result I removed database and website en installed a completely new 3.5.1 wordpress. Clean installation. Immediately after configuring and loggin in as administrator the first action was to upload an image.
After uploading:
– chrome hangs
– IE9 shows IO error
Exactly the same problem as with my website. This prooves to me that it must be something of the shared server of my hosting company. Is this a valid conclusion? Did anyone over had the type of problem due to server configuration?
