[resolved] Another UpdraftPlus Run? (8 posts)

Whenever I try to create a backup, I get this error.

TERMINATE: the temporary file /mnt/stor15-wc2-dfw1/584917/646750/www.snowgoer.com/web/content/wp-content/updraft/backup_2013-01-24-1915_Snow_Goer_Magazine_2017fd128581-uploads.zip.tmp already exists, and was modified within the last 20 seconds. This likely means that another UpdraftPlus run is still at work; so we will exit. (Jan 24 20:01:02)

Can I not go to any page on the site from this IP while it backs up?

You can do anything as normal on your site whilst it backs up. That's just (assuming you read it from the 'last log line' bit) just a view into the internal goings on of UpdraftPlus, which aren't necessarily interesting or something to worry about.

Can you let me see the a log file? It's hard to know what to suggest from just one line.

FTP to your wp-content/updraft directory, and find any and all files beginning with "log.", and then email them to me (david@wordshell.net). If talk about FTP is gibberish to you, then ask your web hosting company to help and they'll know exactly what to do.

P.S. Most likely the message you're seeing is a red herring. It's working correctly; you've got a different problem which is the real cause of your backups failing. I need to see the logs.

Thanks for the log files. Please can you update to 1.3.8, once that appears in your WordPress admin 'Updates' screen. There were some changes since the version you've got, and I've also just added some more logging to give me more information. Once you've installed, try a new backup, wait an hour, and then email me the new log file.

Do you happen to know the size of your 'wp-content/uploads' directory in megabytes?

I have the same problem even after updating to 1.3.8. E-mail with logs is sent

Thank you. The extra logging helped me identify the problem. Fixed in 1.3.9 - please upgrade.

If you find UpdraftPlus useful, please donate.
